| From the Where2sing.com forum: Vic ,Kev & Others .... I personally cant wait for them to bring in reduced hours in hotels all over the country , 'though I'm not holding my breath. From a Karaoke point of view , what difference does it make if they reduce hours ? For years & years I've been an advocate of doubling , even tripling taxes on alcohol & tobacco . People don't need to get smashed to have a good time , at Karaoke or any other form of entertainment. You might say that some venues may not then be able to raise enough funds to make their enterprise work , but just like any business the smart ones will find a way through new marketing stratergies , & the not so smart will make way for newer , more inventive players ....
I see one pub owner in Qld is considering sueing a patron who glassed someone at their pub , I hope the hell he wins & that more & more will take up the fight against drunken , dickheads ....

There was a bunch of drunks ( hmm ... a ''douche-bag of drunks'' is perhaps a more appropriate collective noun ) .. & one big , loud-mouthed loser in particular , that moved to the table next to us & was bagging everyone , even Brad's song , when he was (as usual) one of the best singers on the night ! In answer to the last question in your last post , whatever IS wrong with these people , alcohol only makes them worse ...
