| From the Where2sing.com forum: I try to work out how out of $1.30 per song anyone is making any money. The reality is that to produce a karaoke track, you have to pay a band to record the music, then pay a person/company to put the karaoke lyrics to the song, then you have to pay individual license fees on a per track basis for each track sold (to a body like APRA), then try to turn a profit on the track itself. Put on top of this the fact that tricerasoft is making a profit out of it, then goodness me it's like working for bird seed.
Yes the cost of format shifting licenses is annoying, however you stil have the original disc, and then you put that away and can use your hard drive forever. If this is the reality of the moment then i'll deal with it. Atleast I know if push came to shove I can always rely on my old discs.
