| From the Where2sing.com forum: Malley Boy...I'm about to turn 54 and have 5 boys ranging from 15 to 29 and 4 of them have survived 'schoolies'.All that is happening now is that there is more public exposure to what is going to happen anyway by natural attrition. I can't condone the outlandish behaviour because it pisses me off in karaoke shows wnen people behave outside the square.
Vic...we work in venues that all have midnight closers so the thought of having to cater for later crowds doesn't impress me.In Newcastle there have been curfews placed over the past few years that I believe that have improved the later night scene.Wheras before the younger crowd would drink heavily at home then go out they are more inclined to go out earlier and patronise the venue then have ther after parties with their take-aways and take the problems away from the venues.
David ...we went to Singapore a few years ago and had the worst karaoke experience.They did not embrace any fairness in rotation etc etc but as as destination it was great but yes hard on the dollar.
