Yes, I am still 'in' karaoke. I don’t have a regular pub/club gig. I don't go advertising for shows/gigs. Through word of mouth I do get the odd referral (and some very ODD ones I must say)!
I only do corporate functions and private-parties: Some of these are recurring annual gigs for me. These pay much better - any one of these babies pay almost twice the price of a 8/10-week pub gig!
My regular karaoke-related income comes mainly from my combined cooking-classes / karaoke parties. And I still provide training / practice sessions for comp-chasers.
