Am I correct in thinking that the car was not a prize for the winning singer, but was actually the prize for some lucky punter at one of the venues? As for the Rolls Royce or Tasmania, I think based on value, RR was the first prize and Tasmania (who runs the pub there now, by the way?) was decidedly second.
A little bird told me that Mad Mart, long out of friends, has now officially lost his last remaining customer. And that he recently tested the waters of a new competition based on his previous successes by enquiring of a respected venue whether they would be interested in participating in a new comp, only to be told that they would not be. Poor Mart.
