From the Where2sing.com forum:

A few people here are asking what equipment singers use at home to practice?? Well we have an RSQ karaoke player, a single drawer unit which is the same as many karaoke shows use as their players. We don't have mixers or anything like that, our player has been hooked up to an old stereo system that I had years ago (and it still works quite well) and some rather old speakers. It isn't the best sounding thing around, but it does both Mick and me to practice on. So far our neighbours have never complained about us singing, in fact, the neighbour closest to our 'karaoke room' (or party room as we call it) quite often will ring us up when we are practising and ask either Mick or me to sing a certain song for her. So we can't be sounding too bad on what some would call 'not so great' equipment. This equipment has seen us through some really great karaoke parties when our friends come around, bring their own discs, we put on a BBQ and have a good time.
