From the Where2sing.com forum:

Damn!........I must be the only person in Karaokeland not going out tonight for a sing!(Have to work tomorrow) but can anyone answer this? Why do so few(almost none) hosts offer a recording of your performance, either on cd (audio only) or dvd (video & audio). Is it a copywrite issue? Is it a technical(difficulty) issue, surely not. When I first started doing Karaoke back in the early 90's, they always gave you a cassette tape of your performance. Jeez, after a couple of years I had 3 garbage bags full of tapes! While that was probably the appropriate place for most of them, every now & then, when everything just seemed to click(there's that word again!), I would have a tape worth hanging on to. Apart from being a great boost to one's ego(mine's a hungry beast that needs constant feeding!!), there's no better way to improve than to review your performance. Hey, you could even give a cd away as a gift, come x-mas, to family & friends (or enemies!!)
