Dont think that was Gaythorne David.....a Greek or Italian/european family owned it for years...but his name (the son who took over) escapes me right now ...back in the fifties my dad and my uncle used to go there every monday night on dads motorbike and dad also did some restoration work for the theatres interior

Rosalie and I went there one night about 15 years ago to see a movie.however I think its no longer a going concern..all those years it basically remained the same ie. Canvas seats etc and the building is still there

I seem to recall a Gordon at the Chermside...which was a similiar structure
