Do you know of any karaoke bars in Hong Kong? I am in Hong Kong right now and will be here for approximately one week. So far I have been unable to find a karaoke bar. All I have located are "karaoke box" stablishments,
which of course are very popular in Asia. But I'm not interested in the karaoke box thing; I am looking for the type of venue where I can sing in front of all the patrons. I figured that maybe you would either know of one
yourself, or with all your contacts, maybe you would know someone here who would know?
Anyway, I would be extremely grateful if you were able to recommend a place for me to sing in Hong Kong (if you know of any).

I have also found Hong Kong to be lacking in pub karaoke, and I haven't been there for more than a year. The best I can offer you is the series of stories I wrote in early 2006, as these keep account of where I went in my search there for karaoke - places change there so fast that reading those stories will give you the best chance of find the areas with karaoke:
