Songbird ... Harpoet needed no looking after by us , he had a lady friend 'looking after' him. He did stand out well in his 4U2sing t shirt !!
GregW ... unfortunately, Karaoke was on the wed & thur nights & we didn't get there until friday ... Quite amazing , the mish mash of music coming from a multitude of people on Peel st performing seemingly every 10 meters or so, almost all were amplified so if you stood in the middle of the street , you could hear music from as many as 6-8 performers ... ranging in quality from world class singers & brilliant muso's , to bulging, beer-bellied buskers & twangy twatheads !! ... bit like Karaoke really ...
We stayed at the Central Hotel smack in the middle of town , & no one beleived that we only booked it on the wed . The one thing that frustrated me, was that I didn't get a chance to sing myself (in pulic at least) , so if we go back next year,we might practice up some songs & get out on Peel st busking,( hopefully not as twangy twatheads !!) All up we had a great time & for anyone that loves music, it's a great place to spend a few days (& nights) ...
Malley Boy .... you should head up there next year & go busking ''raw & naked'' ..lol.. you might make a few bucks AND a few headlines at the same time ...!!...might even start a new craze ...lol ... Just make sure you're wearing a good hat ...
