| From the Where2sing.com forum: After reading Anthony's post, I was reminded of when I went to a different state last year for a holiday. I wanted to sing karaoke there so naturally I turned to where2sing, except, I found it REALLY hard to find a venue without quite a bit of investigating first. I had to find out the postcode of the place we were staying at and then all the surrounding suburbs names I could find doing a search on google maps, then come back to w2s and then key in a few of them, then when they didnt come up with any results, go back to google and search more and then back to w2s. In the end, I had to do a search of the whole state and look down the list trying to find suburbs that were on my list. I had to do that for each day till I found one that was close enough.
It would be SO helpful, if you could enter the postcode of the place you are staying at and then select a 5 or 10km radius etc and be told of the venues available in and around that area and also the nights that these venues have Karaoke. For those prepared to travel further, they could put in a 10 to 20km radius etc.
Many other websites have functions like this where you can find your nearest store etc by keying in a postcode. Could something like this be set up here? It is hard to know where you want to go if you have no idea where things are in the first place or if they have what you want there.
