You're missing the spirit of KWC. It's more than just the international finals. It's a journey of fun and excitement - a celebration of peace through music. Each contestant, right from venue level, is part of the bigger picture - an international event that unites karaoke singers around the world.
It's also a chance to give someone the opportunity to do something very out of the ordinary and for a lot of others to have a bit of fun along the way.
Sure, there will be a fair level of vocal & performance talent required to win, as with any competition, but in a lot of cases all it would have taken was a little more preparation on the part of the contestant. For others, just having the chance just to be a part of something big and outside the local thinking box is fun.
We have a fantastic team of hosts & co-ordinators who also gain from sharing the same passion, imagination and excitement for the event. They give their locals the opportunity to dream by putting their venues on the world stage, all the while enjoying a successful promotion in their venue and the joy of being a part of a world wide event and the KWC Australia Team.
As more and more of Australia gets behind KWC, the aim is to send a male & female champion to the international finals, giving more singers the chance to progress through the competition locally.
