| From the Where2sing.com forum: Vic, the reason that Chatswood RSL has so many votes is that, as LB says, it has many highly supportive singers; last time I looked, I saw some singers who travel around to other venues which I'd have imagined that they'd prefer, but they've still cast their vote back for Chatswood. Why?
I think many W2Sers who are enthusiastic enough to come often to W2S and to vote often, are also fickle and change their votes often. I get the feeling that Chatswood has a unique band of followers who are enthusiast singers but also dedicated to Chatswood and Gary & Di. Maybe it is also that Gary promotes W2S rather than voting at W2S, and thus garners the loyalty of singers rather than creating a voting core that quickly drifts away.
As for Vic's gig in the middle of absolutely nowhere, I wonder what benefit the W2S Gig Listings to bring to people who probably know every single karaoke gig going in their locality - in the same way, Toowoomba's host is often on the site, mentions W2S at her gigs, and has some excellent gigs and great singers, but I don't think I've seen a Toowoomba gig in the top 10.
