| From the Where2sing.com forum: Balmain Leagues used to offer entertainment on Fridays, including karaoke. None ever lasted. There were invariably more people in the room when nothing was on. I note that Chatswood had a traditional band in front, actually competing with its own karaoke! It has never lasted. Live entertainment has to compete with a lot these days and some people just like to meet up and talk. Musical entertainment rarely helps talk except in old Peter Gunn movies.
