From the Where2sing.com forum:

The Barman ... i have for years sung many songs from the ''' RadioStarz '' list and have found them( the ones i sing ) to be just perfect for my vocal type , i having a natural ''Bass Baritone '' type voice can find it hard at times to find songs to suit my voice although i have mastered over the years quite a good ''' False voice '' especially for more modern up to date songs because singers over the past decade or so have moved away from the male ''Bass & / or baritone voice ( ie...Elvis compered to Justin .t .....Think Johnny Cash and that is my natural vocal range ) on the other hand sunfly is very '' hit & miss'' same as many from '' Capital '' they seem to be in a '' higher key '' , now this has nothing to do with the '' quality of songs on the discs , its just that i spend a lot of time at home ( i call it my HomeWork lol ) to insure that i find the best rendition to suit my vocal tone , Gee's there are so many songs i would love , just love to sing BUT !!!! hey they just do not suit my vocal tone , No matter what company the songs are made with .
So i wonder how many others out there spend time developing a personal song list by searching there renditions to find the one that suit there vocal tone the best ...........once again this question has nothing to do with '' who think which rendition is the best but which is the rendition for your own voice .
one song that has taken me months to ''' get right is '''Josh Groban 's ' ..' remember when it rained '' and i've been working on ''' Lonestar's ..Amazing '''' now for years just can't get the ''' last bit '' right but hey i will !!
So song choice can be a very personal thing ...
