This is just my veiw and I dont expect every one to agree at all.
There has been talk in here about people trying to cut over peoples grass in getting gigs.Show business is just that BUSINESS.
If you run a show at a venue and you get upset because someone one else has tryed to also put a quote or sent in details on there services to that venue than understand it happens every day in every business.If you sell apples to the local fruit shop and some one else comes along and trys to sell apple there do you get upset because the apple farmer is your so called freind? If you have the best apples you will keep the business going but if some one else has better apples then you need to grow better ones.
Sure it is rude to try and do business with a venue under the nose of a gig operator on the night the gig is on but if you send in you details or pop in at the venue in business hours to leave details then there is nothing wrong with that.As long as you are selling your own apples and not trying to put crap on the other farmers product.Sell your own is what I say.
If you also are worried that somone is copying your services than take it as a compliment..Go to asia and you will see what it is like to be copyed.Like I say I dont expect every one to agree with my point but those that know anything about business will understand.Yes we are all freinds and we should have some sort of standards but business is business and show business is .....Yes you got it BUSINESS... So come on ....keep your chin up a keep up the good work otherwise someone just else might.......
