| From the Where2sing.com forum: A new point of topic IF I MAY....
Since going out to sing at many different karaoke show I have seen some great singers that really do have some good voices.
Recently I have been to see some three and four piece bands that seam to be so much in contact with there guitars and stuff and in learning their music and some of the music can sound good but as for the singing well that seams to let them down.Alot of musos look down at us Karaoke singers and see us all as something less then them because we sing to backing tracks and words are provided.I was at a talent quest not so long ago and there were a few bands in it playing their music and being at one with their instrument.As for the sing component and the entertainment side of things I found them to be a bit to themselves and so did the judges it would appear as one guy got up at the end of the night and sang 5 songs by himself to backing tracks and he sang to to patrons of the pub and they loved it.At the end of the judging h was the winner of the night and oh boy you could see the confussion on the faces of the guitar people.It was like WHAT THE ...... It was good to see really as the winner really set the place on fire and had people rocking.

So be proud of your singing as some bands do not have the talent that you do
