| From the Where2sing.com forum: Ray ...I think you may be thinking that the Xfactor is purely a '''talent quest ''' show , but I think its more an '''Family entertainment show ''' sure the underlying format is a talent show but they really are trying to capture a much '' wider ranging ''' audience and for the 20 million bucks they paid for the '''rights '' to the show it would need to do that (capture as many tv audience as they can ) and being an '' entertainment show'' sure it will take on a ''' life '' of its own and i think non singing public would become bored with the show if it was a 100% talent quest with no heart and soul .
