| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi! I just wanted to share an experience I had at The Kingsford, Gawler gig on Saturday night..... I am normally very selective with songs and only eventually perform them when I reckon I know them inside out having first sung along to them them a million times in my head while listening to my Ipod (both real and karaoke versions!), proceeded to then sing it at home (in private!), and then get to a point where I reckon I might just be able to pull it off at the local..... The thought of performing a song entirely 'unrehearsed' scared the heck out of me...... MB, we talked the other day about Real Life's 'Send Me An Angel'.... As luck would have it, Margi (of Affordable Karaoke) saw our posts and put me up to singing it on Saturday night! Best thing I ever did..... I gave it a crack, did my best and had great fun with it.... was excellent getting put out of my comfort zone! Thanks Margi! In the future, I'm going to try and do more 'unrehearsed/spur of the moment' stuff - am hoping then that my 'set' won't be as predictable (as I suspect it may have been getting!), and I will grow as a singer/entertainer. No doubt, will inevitably crash and burn on some I try, but I reckon I'll have awesome fun doing it - its a pretty supportive crowd at The Kingsford! To all who may be 'suffering' from predictability like me, be brave and just do it! (PS I draw the line at Justin Bieber though....LOL!)
