| From the Where2sing.com forum: G'day Where2ers .... from none other than Las Vegas !! Having a ball singing at a variety of karaoke bars in New York, LA, Nashville, & this weekend Las Vegas (of course) & before we leave late next friday night out of LAX, hopefully a song or two in San Fransisco, & San Diego.....(am I making you jealous ! ha ha ! )
And right now, while I'm posting this, Sami Quaver is playing guitar & singing with me doing harmonies... (hope our neighbors are cool) .A great way to spend a couple of weeks in the US, I don't mind telling you !
The standard of singers here in the States is incredible, especially in Nashville, where every singer to a man (& woman) is a WORLD class singer ...the punters , the bar staff even the glass collectors, are unbelieveably good. Just sitting there waitng for your turn to sing is a pleasure .... you just sit back & swig on your bottle of bud (peeling the label off like in the Sheryl Crow song) & reflect on how you'd pay good money to listen to a concert with this sort of variety. I must admit though, it made me a little nervous knowing singers of that ilk are watching & listening , but hey,you just take another swig & GO FOR IT !!
This trip has also opened my eyes to the brilliant aray of songs that Country music has to offer & nearly everything was in Soundchoice or Chartbusters .... Catman , you've been leading the way with country music for years! I'm gonna have a ball learning up a whole new genre of fresh music in the months ahead .... YEEEEHAA YAWLL .....lol...
