| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi Margi, I appreciate your feedback, but I was paid peanuts by the KJ I started out with. I run my business now on a proffesional level and charge what seems to be the acceptable rates for rural hotels and have done so for the last 9 years. I am a newcomer only to Where2sing.com. I dont make much money because I only do shows once maybe twice a month because I am a community carer and mum of 4 lively little kids. Also it is hard to find anywhere in rural towns who are prepared to pay for entertainment and I most certainly don't do this for free.. It costs me a fortune keeping up to date with discs, paying for childcare and my operater. In the end I am left with peanuts, but I still charge similar to everyone else out there!
