| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi All ..This is just a different ''spin'' on the '' $20 gig thing ''' , now i have no idea about ''Bathurst '' and its karaoke potential but as i live in the bush in Vic i can honestly tell you and indeed if you have been reading some of my post of the pass , the last thing the '' country '' needs is a city operator coming to a country town and doing a gig for $20 or anywhere near that figure , because if you have been reading my posts about this subject you would know that because of ' draught , insect plague's the recent anti-smoking laws and down right silly Government greed , country karaoke over the past 2 years has just gone down the toilet and the remaining operators are doing it hard , very hard , in fact some must travel many hundreds of km's just to get a bit of work , don't believe me well just ask Wolf or TBM they have a good idea how hard it is to get a ''' one off '' gig let alone an ongoing weekly gig , so please remember after you do that $20 gig the poor country host will be left there in the country trying to explain / justify why they should get $300 - $ 400 when they ( the publicans ) may '' snag '' a city operator for $ 20 PLEASE think of the fall-out / damage you leave behind .....Hey !! as i said just a different '' spin '' on the argument .
