| From the Where2sing.com forum: On the way home from the WOODFORD hotel on Saturday night...we sometimes stop at the BP Burpengary...refuel.... and then insult our gastric juices with some Maccas and coffee...
As we pulled in we noticed a group of young people (18-20)....in quite an expensive brand new SUV..also in the process of refueling and purchasing BigMacs/frys and what have you....they were all very friendly ...didn't appear intoxicated.....seemingly all reasonably well educated and from quality middle class homes.
We departed earlier than they did
About 10 minutes up the road ...they passed us.....they were well passed us when all of a sudden out of the back passenger window came all of their Maccas wrappers ...empty cups....burger cartons...the lot onto the Highway......how does this relate to Karaoke?...Is it just my imagination ...but my perception is that too often those in that age group that come to Karaoke...just do NOT care....about anything other than themselves?
Dont Care for your equipment..... or what type of language they will use over the Mic....not interested in rotations...only that they should be next....scream into your Mics...the list goes on........are we fostering a non caring society of youngsters?
My second pet hate is the after work binge drinking (30-40) professional...maybe Lawyers or accountants?...invariably they wear suits (no ties)..usually in groups of 4 or 5 ...drink way too much and then behave like cockh*^cs on stage.......or am I just getting too old.... LOL
