I feel that many Karaoke hosts spend far too much time considering What it is that Karaoke Singers seek from a Karaoke venue...yet rarely consider what it is that makes a show entertaining to a wider but non singing yet drinking and money spending audience.
These people don't give a rats rectum about 'the' rotation...whether the host sings or not...how many songs in the book...etc...etc...yet they are the bulk of the bar take on the night
It is my belief that its NOT Karaoke as such that attracts an audience to the majority of venues...if the venue is appealing to the public and can attract patrons ...via ...great meals...cheap meals....cheap drinks ....atmosphere ...yada ...yada...then its the Karaoke hosts job to keep them entertained and to remain in the venue ...via his singers... his hosting style... ...the music style and MOMENTUM of his show etc.
Even if your karaoke show attracted 30 or so of dyed in the wool Karaoke Tragics week in and week out... that often doesn't make for a financially successful karaoke night for many venues...as maybe only half of those are serious drinkers anyway.
Consider you singers as your entertainers for a wider audience ...give your show non stop momentum....
