| From the Where2sing.com forum: Hi All ...I being the ''Musical director '' for my towns ''' singing group '' presents certain problems in trying to kept the songs ''' Fresh & modern and up to date , singers ranging from 6 yo's ( 2only ) to 80 + but the average age would be more like 45 - 50 yo , so they have a tendency to go always for the ''' older ''' songs , but I being an artist at heart can not allow this to always happen , yet with music of the past decade or so it is so hard to get '' relevant songs '' to '' fit '' a ''' group '' of singers , so many songs now are just written for a solo singer and they do not lend themselves to an array of ''' Harmonies '' and fit into the '''Stanza '' ( sp? ) of notes and with so many singers of different voices ( Tenors ,. altos , baritones , etc ) , singing in '' Unison '' can become a little messy So is there any Help with suggestions to '' modern songs '' ( this decade and perhaps 90's ) that will cover some great harmony work ?
