| From the Where2sing.com forum: I don't why it was so funny, because it's probably an easy request (send me your website) to misunderstand, but I don't think I've had an entire website as an attachment to an email before.
It certainly does remind me that the Internet is still very new - it wasn't long ago that W2S relied on computer-savvy singers to keep many hosts' listings up to date. And imagine going back 20 years and saying to someone 'send me an email'.
An old bloke in one of my local haunts here (Melaka, Malaysia), about a year ago, decided to bow to pressure and buy a computer to connect to the Internet. He did so, and brought it in to the venue in question for the owner to instruct him on what he could use it for. He was highly disappointed - he'd expected to take a virtual real time walk through all the local shops, chat in real time to all the shop, bar and restaurant owners, chat face to face with all his friends and relatives who had computers, and buy everything he wanted, all to be delivered to him as he sat waiting in the bar. I thought that was really interesting as it shows what he expected the Internet to be, based on people's vague descriptions, and I think it shows how primitive our online world still is.
A few days later I took a photo of him in the bar to Bluetooth across to someone else's phone, and then to show him. I think he was impressed by that. Anyway, he dropped dead a couple of days later.
