| From the Where2sing.com forum: LB , PeterM & Others .... Guys , You need to view the''Top 10'' with a grain of salt ... It's never been a poll on how good a gig is , as say , judged by Kyle , Natalie & Simon Cowell (thankfully, can you imagine their assesments ?!!) ,it's ''most popular'' ...derived from those that make the effort to vote. Those of us who are regulars to Where2Sing know that it's not a widespread cross-section of the Karaoke faithful, just of those who visit this site. It's as much a marketing tool for David to 'encourage' people to visit Where2Sing & interact. I'm sure David always hoped that hosts would encourage their patrons to ''get on Where2Sing & vote people , vote'' ... & why not ? The fact remains , if your gig is no.1 , or even IN the top 10 ,it's at the very least , a feather in your cap (or an elephant stamp in your exercise book !) It gives you bragging rights (whatever that's worth to you) & a marketing tool for you to use promoting your business to venues. They don't know the numbers involed ,but most would be impressed that your gig is listed in the Top 10 .... make the most of it ...lol
