| From the Where2sing.com forum: David, [Mary 'Sing It' here], as you may recall we recently requested a copy of the old W2S promotional flyers that you once made available but which are no longer. My take on the 'Top 10' is this - Hosts who want to see a change in the 'same old / same old' which are regularly featured in the current top 10 might like to get behind the W2S site and promote it thus enabling voting on a larger scale (as the regularly featured ones have already done).Since our discussion I have made up my own flyers promoting W2S which we hope will increase exposure for W2S.com and the gig listings etc. Perhaps a uniform approach and a flyer from you might assist all hosts. I agree that this is a singers site and it's sole purpose is provide information of Where 2 Sing and also allow singers to voice their opinions.
May I also suggest that the title 'TOP 10' be amended to read 'Choices made in the last 30 days' or 'Gigs visited in the last 'X' days' which would then be more inline with the weekly featured gigs.
China:- (Tue 9 Nov 2010 at 00:35 - CHINA, from CAULFIELD) I agree with you that not everyone can get onto vote etc; and I guess that not everyone has access to the web, or be computer 'savvy' to get onto W2S and cast their vote. So there will always be a disparity in the accuracy of the popularity of gigs.
Like others, our gigs are well patronised, but we accept that many are not yet aware of W2S, or those that are not bothering to vote.
