From the Where2sing.com forum:

We were told by a host last week, that singers can only sing ballads or slow songs etc for the first hour. After that they must sing up-beat songs. This venue struggles most weeks to get 8-10 singers thru its doors.I don't mind the rules that much, but I would think this guy would be glad just to see and hear anybody at his shows, singing anything!!.He said he leaves the room if he dos'nt like the song that's being sung,so of course if we're singing and he go's walkabout,we figure he dos'nt like our singing. They've even changed their times to 8-12pm.Most people have to leave early anyway if they're workers,as we did.We got ' the oldies have gotta leave early ' we are up at 4am every day for work.Just thought I'd mention it as I think some hosts can't afford to be so picky.
