| From the Where2sing.com forum: You know why is it that people are '' over complicating '' karaoke , gee's its possibly the easiest ''' path '' into the entertainment business ( showmanship side of it ) there is , i mean how many hosts would end up on stage for 4 hours once or twice a week and have a crowd wanting entertainment from them if it wasn't for karaoke , perhaps we should go back to when there were really only Two RULES ....No swinging the Mic leads & No placing drinks on the hosts '' working table '' , both rules for max safety , then let the punters have the '' fun / enjoyment '' they are paying for .... sometimes i think people perhaps with the right intentions are over doing a good thing ....electronic boards with next singers ..... control placement of songs .... marketing to and trying to establish certain groups at a show ... no dance music .... having too much dance music ..... worrying about non singing patrons when there very little a host can do to sway them generally yet they have a heap of power / swayment ( if that is a word lol ) with singers so the effort should be much much great er there and so on ...... '''' its on with the show here we go ''' as one famous '' Bunny ''' or should i say ''' bugsy '' told us as kids to do daily
