| From the Where2sing.com forum: TBHM ...We are just having an exchange of views which can only be good for karaoke , sadly a lot of people tend to ''' shy away '' from expressing there point of view these days and my comments are NOT only for L / B but for any host out there , yet there is nothing that pisses me off more than when a host ''' changes '' the rules mid show , ie.... go to the venue and buy a meal ( and i'm a great lover of 3 courses ) drinks and the host is only two happy to except my songs ( whatever they may be ) then at 10 pm the room is starting to fill and all of a sudden the host comes up ( in some cases they just by-pass your songs completely without saying a word ) and say ''' sorry we are only doing up-tempo and current songs now , this gets my back -up because they can't have it both ways , they should inform people either in person or have a '' notice '' on tables that after xxx o'clock please don't submit slow or out-dated or unknown songs , at least i then have a choice to either stay and sing songs that will make the host happy or leave at the start and find a venue more to my liking , in all cases when this has happened i have never gone back or have ever recommended the venue. .....so you see TBHM these are things hosts should keep in mind when they make a decision with there running of there show.
