| From the Where2sing.com forum: TBHM & All Other Good Folk , yes i agree Barman , take me for example , i came from a large non musical family where with 6 boys it was a dog eat dog growing up type situation , no education in the arts (performing or other because there wasn't any free money available ) yet i sort of knew from a young age that i could sing and act and could hear things in music others couldn't or wouldn't , you know '' tap '' out bass lines and even Analise the music , break it down and listen to a '' faint '' piano line , things such as that , long before i knew what i was listening too sadly it wasn't until my mid teens i broke out of the '' family '' apron and started to investigate this '' inner ''' calling ,i started with guitar lessons which gave me the confidence to start singing in public and found that because i could easily pick up ''' timing ''' of music and singing pitching balance , tone, it all just fell into place , as did acting , i just seemed to be a '' natural '' , with out lessons i started landing good rolls in stage plays , same with my singing never had a lesson yet my singing abilities have always been well respected and with doing both karaoke hosting and DJ work in those fields I'm also very well respected and i have never once had a complaint on my sound when i have been in effective control of that sound . , no one taught me it all came naturally and that is with anything i do on stage by it all steam back to being able to '' hear and analysing music and sound which i never have had any formal education so i say there is something there when you are conceived perhaps it is a little gift from God to give you a meaning in life ... who knows ....You know sometimes at night when the Demons come , i wonder what i could have been today if my parents had seen this in me as a young child and acted on it then , although i know they had the ''' hands full '' and there was only so much to go around , but hey thats life .
