| From the Where2sing.com forum: L/B ...I second your comments plus add a little something , hosting side of that comment read to me like the host , being of an older more experience category should have somehow ''' known better ''' or somehow '' put a stop to it ''' well let me say this that sometimes gigs ''' lend '' themselves to a host to be a great host and other gigs can be '' hardwork '' and purely the host becomes '' Mechanical ''' or going through the motions , a host doesn't '' pick '' there audience sometimes they have to '' work with what they have '' , hence my comment to TBHM some weeks ago , about ''' Stage Routine ''' & Discipline , and lets face it in the country ( so David tells us where the gig was ) karaoke is by far more a ''' Grass-roots '' thing , the folks haven't had the glut of karaoke shows to go to like city folks have had over the years , so allowances must be given there level of karaoke education .
