| From the Where2sing.com forum: If i read David's story correctly he was talking about a country venue , well lets see a city gig has potentially hundreds of thousand s of people to '' Market '' to , perhaps millions , in country areas we start at potentially a few hundred of people to perhaps a couple of thousand if lucky , so firstly you get what you get in patronage and are thankful for it , basically you really can't pick and choose patrons all that much , secondly Entertainment of any sort is few and far between compered to the city so when there is entertainment folks seem to ''' party up ''' a little more in the country plus add the ''' Karaoke Education ''' factor in and bango !! you get a karaoke gig like David went to ......But as i said you can not run a ''' country gig like the many city gigs i've been to for those reasons yet as Mandy writes they are some of the best gigs to go to because of the '''' Grass-Roots '' factor , its like how karaoke was at the beginning of karaoke in Aust , just pure ''' Fun '' and heaps of karaoke '' Virgins '' to cater for , so if you are a ''' burnt out '' host looking to get the ''' spark '' back and the enjoyment back into your hosting , i recommend doing a country gig for a while , it'll bring the old feelings back to your hosting .
