Hi LB
I do tolerate the 'shits and giggle' crowd ...however there is a limit ...and thy WILL be told if thy steps over the line...it may be an invisible line ...however it IS there...and must be observed..its called the 'common sense' line...and is totally independent to the amount of alcohol consumed...and is strictly.... though usually subtly enforced....some weeks back an over enthusiastic punter thought that pushing over a 35kg JBL speaker on a stand was the thing to do...it hit my wife on the head causing her to bite her tongue quite badly drawing much blood......do I need to tell you that this aged Karaoke host managed to frog march the offender....with his arm locked securely up his back.....out the front door by myself....well before security were even aware of what was happening....its amazing what adrenalin pumping thru your veins can do for your physical abilities LOL

The point I make is....come to Karaoke.....have fun.....enjoy....however if you are common sense challenged and behave accordingly...you will be told!!...Its called Health... Safety and a duty of care to all....

ROVICS tends to attract a younger crowd at all of (3) venues....usually around 100x 40 and under....those who are regulars or semi regulars are well aware of what is expected ....occasionally its the walk ins who are still under the impression that Karaoke is by nature a free for all chance to act like a dickhead....not on!

Meet karaoke hosts and singers in the Where2sing.com forums . . .

KARAOKE in Australia

You've found the #1 website with the original and biggest karaoke gig listings database listing nearly 1,000 gigs across all states of Australia - each listing with full venue name, address, phone number plus extensive information about the gig itself. Read feedback from singers who have already visited the venue, and see information such as songlist size, crowd size, type of singer and even how much applause you can expect when you visit each gig.

Or visit the forums where both singers and hosts meet and chat - including State-chat forums where you can make friends whom you'll meet up with at a venue near you.

And there are the Gig Reviews, the constantly updated 'National Top 10 Karaoke Venues' chart, specialised lists of venues for Under 18s and currently running Competitions, lists for karaoke rooms, restaurants, karaoke hosts and supplliers, and karaoke news from all around the world.

Of course, the best way to keep up to date is by opting in for the FREE weekly Karaoke News Email.
