I'm only a Karaoke Business Operator that expects particular standards put in place when contracted to perform @ certain establishments, it is apparent there are others out there that put the $$$'s before the OH&S factor and probably find it fun to be one of the 'Macka's' & 'Davo's' ..... can't warn you more than... shit sticks and if you got a shitty uncontrollable gig.... then the smell goes with you as well as the Venue.. been there done that!
Horses for Courses me old mates....but I would prefer to work harder at cleaning up the image of Karaoke rather than copping the knock backs from Footy,Cricket & Soccer Clubs due to the performances of the Mackas & Davos @ their last Karaoke event or on the other side of the coin the desperate pleas by the Club to entertain there because no other operator would go back!
All of these avenues of business are workable ... only if the Operator has the guts to put some respect into the Service they offer & as in Davids News Letter it is very disappointing when the Host prefers to appease & encourage a rowdier entourage rather than laying down some guidelines.......
If all my weekends were full of 'Macka's & Davo's'.... naaaa I don't want to imagine it !
