| From the Where2sing.com forum: I am a Karaoke singer and love it and as a Karaoke singer we love to see regular faces at the gigs and supporting the venues be at the bar or restaurant but the one thing that really gets under the skin of singers are the comp chasers REASON most of them dont drink or eat and only turn up till they make it through to the Finals or Grand Final whichever it maybe and you dont see them again till the Grand Final is on now tell me is that supporting the Venues NO I DONT THINK SO and a lot of singers who have been around for years now are pretty sick of it that might explain as to why they get the reception thet get and when you have been singing for a few years at different venues different nights you get to know who are the COMP CHASERS thats why the regulars at any venue are like they are its called SUPPORT SUPPORT SUPPORT. Another Point if you are a KARAOKE singer who goes along to a venue to sing a song and there is a comp running its turns them off to enter as they feel they dont have a chance against these so called COMP CHASERS who are pro or semi pro it all boils down to the fact its KARAOKE and please remember that its open to good and bad singers thats Karaoke and that it takes guts to get up there isnt Karaoke all about having fun with your friends or family?????? that seems to be forgotten.
