| From the Where2sing.com forum: The impression I got was that people where whinging about people who only turned up to competitions, didn't spend any money, and didn't add to the diversity of entertainment due to only singing the same two songs. If the motivation of such a person is to earn money from their talent then a band, solo gig is an appropriate suggestion imho as a weekly gig is by definition a more stable income than attending competitions every few weeks without the certainty of being paid.
