| From the Where2sing.com forum: L/B...Are you sure its the most of the '' patrons '' that are sick of the ''' karaoke classics '' or perhaps its more likely the hosts and a very select No . of regular patrons that are sick of them ??? ....It concerns me a little that comments like MA 's ''' do the slow song after the host knows you can sing '' , now perhaps i am a little '' old school '' here but to me if i am a '' paying '' customer and i take my precious time to go to a venue and spend my hard earned money i should be able to sing what i wish to sing any time of the night , it is the responsibility of the host to have a wide ranging good selection of songs available for my possible selection , in fact in reading the '' Front Page of W2S , it seems that there is a great number of people with concern about ''limited song selection and a '''Block '''On what folks can sing and when they can sing it
This process is of a concern to me as it is '''Leaning away''' from what karaoke is all about and is creating some ''' Clicky environments '' for the karaoke public
Footnote ..MA , please I'm not having a ''Go '' at your comment but it just goes to show how some hosts are conditioning there public to support there views on the karaoke classics .....Karaoke is not about peoples singing abilities so whether they sing well or not should have no bearing on what and when they sing a song , they are the paying customer and they should sing what they want , when they want , its up to the hosts to use there '' skills'' to place interest in the rotation and what people sing.
