I dont necessarily disagree with all you say...but by the same token .....and as contradictory as this may sound.... and from a KJ`s point of view...... a Karaoke Show is NOT just all about ardent Karaoke singers......and whilst we always try to keep our rotations fair..... try not sing ourselves (too much)......we WILL do whatever WE feel is in the best interest of our show as a whole (both singer and general audience) at any given stage of the evening.... and if that means changing to the rotation a little....Singing ourselves if the Audience has been subjected to to 3 or 4 'Tiny Tims' in a row..background music to keep the momentum going.....in other words .,whatever it takes!
Lets face it ..... Some Karaoke 'Tragics'/singers can be rather pedantic and very narcistic when it comes to their singing (usually those that have an inflated perception of their own ability).....If we have to lose a few of these on the way in the interest of a better all round show .then so be it
