Thanks VIC, as a result (following on from your last post) I have re-read every post, I have discarded the side-tracked comments, ignored the tangential snipes and have also read in-between the lines, and yes, my questions have been answered to some extent, but has in fact, for me, raised more questions in my mind!

PS: I am a simple person, and English is my 2nd language - so I really had to dig deep here when I don't get straight answers! LOL but in a shy and embarrassed manner ....

I am most interested to answers in response to my question (c), and as far as I am able to decipher:
(1) BTSK was clear and forthright in his answer - His personal choice, if money is no object, is a Sennheiser e945.
(2) LB favours the $30 (or $70 if you missed that price) Samson Q7
(3) You stick by your SM58s
(4) Peter M likes his SM58 clones and Behringers
(5) Gary from RSK continues to use his AKGs
(6) MB favours the SM58

And from the array of choices detailed above, I concluded that I invested well in the SM58s and 58a Betas.

No, I am not looking to swap / upgrade / downgrade my stock of mics.

I was simply intrigued to see that vast selection of mics used at the recent Grammy Show (starting off with my observation of 5 different mics being used by 5 individual singers standing and singing next to each other for the Show's Opening number ...)
