| From the Where2sing.com forum: Well lets face it ...any successful Karaoke venue would probably be successful in spite of whether we use an SM 58...a Samson Q7...Sennheiser e945....Behringer Mic or a Dick Smith Mic......eeerrrr ok that might be taking it a bit far...take out the Dick Smith ...LOL...but I also think it is true that some mics do compliment certain singing styles and certain voices....I think you would need to be a Pro singer and have investigated different Mics to know which is the most suited to your voice
Last Night at the RG ..a young asian girl came up to sing a Pink song...the fader was as high as it could go..the trim knob? ..as high as I dared before feedback...yet we still could barely hear her...she looked at me as if to say....'Turn Me Up...don't you know what you're doing??'....alas there is no mic for these people....I often say ...'it may be a Mic ...but it aint magic..'..LOL
