| From the Where2sing.com forum: David ...I find It Interesting that a Host On W2S would refer to a Gig Listing as 'their' business & request to lock others out?
Is it not correct to assume the Gigs here on W2S are primarily for the promotion of the Venue to Singers?
Unfortunately there is an element of 'critique' that prefer to use these listings as an opportunity to create mischief through shills and professional jealousies!
These immature behaviours will always prevail and will continue from time to time and if ignored, they will eventually disappear into the hole they crept out of!
So back to my first paragraph....'Who's' Business is Actually being displayed on W2S???
Each of my gig listings has been activated on W2S with the knowledge & support of the Karaoke Venues that are being promoted ...I am, as the instigator, obligated to update their listing with all the respect & creativity within the boundaries of their business edict & I will continue to respect that privilege!
At no point will I or have I claimed these listings as 'my business' although I have the honour of Hosting the Karaoke event, so in this case it is important that I adopt a 'Best Practice' Mature Business approach towards criticism and mischief targeted within forums!
The best response is no response or a process of ignoring the comment ......as it is not my business and no matter how passionate I am regarding my association with the Venue ....it's best to ignore it and move on ....
If W2S is an ideal promotional vehicle for Karaoke Venues & Singers then let it continue with total respect firstly for the Venue (Business) the Singer and the Critic.....
We hosts are at the bottom of the feeding chain, so the next time any of us W2Singers choose to take on another punter in Gig Listing Comments section just remember who's business you are really disrespecting....and I'll give ya a clue ...they very rarely make any comments but do take a look now & then......
