| From the Where2sing.com forum: The only bias, if any, that should take place is the investment that someone has made at a gig. That investment can be monetary of course, but can also be just time or something else. In other words, two people come up towards the end of the night asking for songs, one has been there all night and one has just walked in the door, I am likely to treat them both differently. There are always exceptions to the rule and I treat each on a case by case basis and if there is room (especially if we have gone through more than a couple of rotations) then they both may very well get a look in.
All in all though, I think it's just bad form to walk into a karaoke show less than 30 min before the end and expect a song.
