Let's go back to the beginning of this question of how much control people should have over what they input: A host listed himself with the wrong operator on a gig. I commented on it, and two people told me of the host's error. I corrected it. I'm quite happy to do that in the forthcoming '4 more instances of gig listing inaccuracies' over the next few years.
Before there's a panic about every gig listing needing to be checked five ways (by whom, I wonder?), let's remember that hosts who care and are active on W2S do *not* have their gigs available for others to update.
In the previous instance where someone listed himself as a host for that operator, but where the operator didn't agree with his role, it happened only because that operator didn't list that gig himself. The only solution there would have been for me to guess that the venue was going to start karaoke, and guess with which operator it was going to be - I'm not that good...lol!
