From the Where2sing.com forum:

LB, tried that one night with Vic at the RG - but he said something that even up to today I've not been able to equate with sound mixing.... seemed more to do with going forth any multiplying... did he mean 'multiplex yourself' do you think?

I do however follow what you're saying, and I'm sorry if my questions suggested otherwise.

I understand that (from a laptop, for sure) you have a stereo input into the mixer, and that at this stage on the mixer that balance can be altered. Is this what was previously referred to as the 'pan' knob, or is that 'pan' knob at the mixing or output stage, altering the speaker balance? Anyway, if I understand your main paragraph description correctly, this sounds as though normally the stereo input from your laptop is maintained in stereo format through your mixer and out to your speakers, thus running stereo FOH - is my understanding of that paragraph correct?
