| From the Where2sing.com forum: Frustration is par for the course...when things go wrong with a set up I always remember what my daughter taught me.
Dad take a deep breath, steep back and have a look at the situation at what is happening with the music etc.
Work through each lead, each slide and knob on the mixer and 99% of the time you will discover what the problem is.
My daughter has just finished 9 years of study in music, gaining her Diploma in Music, her degree in Music and Teaching and has recently gained her degree in Music Therapy.
A few weeks ago I did a Birthday Party for one of her friends and you guessed it things went wrong.
The wireless mics decided not to work.
After trying different jacks on the mixer and new leads etc the problem remained.
The signal was being interfered with by some other source,
Solution, corded mics.
Worked well and no one was the wiser.
Permanent solution was to buy some new wireless mics (which have 16 different channel settings) that you can change to and avoid the UHF signals that sometimes the Clubs or Pubs use for their own Pa Systems that may cause a conflict with your PA system.
Where there is a will there’s a way.
