From the Where2sing.com forum:

Hi Tony...I guess we have always been fortunate in having singers like yourself... who were NOT just in attendance for themselves and their often overinflated perceptions of their own singing ability....but were there to enjoy other singers as well and the overall social aspect of the night.....anybody who sits there all night keeping an eagle eye on our rotation or continues to harass us as to when they are next usually don't fare very well...LOL

We always try to keep partners/friends./husbands/wives together in the rotation so as not to highlight any rotational change

On Wednesday night I had a girl ask me when she was next EVERY 3 SONGS (she was 20 singers away).....in the end I asked her if she in fact could count up to 20 or not?.....she was later escorted from the building after having been found asleep sitting on the toilet ...LOL

Following I think LBs suggestion some time back....I now often put some latecomers onto the 'Interchange' bench as reserves in case some singers drop off late in the night...it usually keeps them there and they will often go and spend over the bar just the same:-)

I think one of the worst things any host can do is put up a sign 'No More Singers'....keep them living in false hope..lol...and buy drinks ...hahaha!...and if things get really busy put them all in a jug and go random

Where possible we always try to finish the night off with a regular singer...no 2 tragic Karaoke songs in a row...unless by really good singers...no slow songs after each other...duets do NOT count as your turn...use the same name on slips all night...and enjoy!!
