| From the Where2sing.com forum: To Add to all this , you know if met a young host or perhaps an older host in there infancy of development in karaoke hosting and they where starting out and i wasn't there instructor but they wanted some advice, the first thing i would suggest would be to take a few singing lessons , not only for there own voice but more so to '''Learn '' and know vocal ranges , types of voice and there classifications and what they sound like , this will very much help them with the sound in general , you know i personally deal more with the vocals than with the''''music '' sound in many cases ( not all ) because i have generally a very good understanding of all my discs and the sound they deliver so pretty much the ''' music '' sound part of it is taken care of before the singer hits the stage , but it once they start singing ( if i've never heard them sing before ) i right away know what adjustments to do to suit there voice better , and that is because i have a good understanding of the human voice , so perhaps a few lessons will give a new host the edge they need with sound .....of course there is more to it also .
