| From the Where2sing.com forum: Jason: The Bristol Arms seems to go from cheap to good and back again as I remember the Entertainment Manager telling me when the recently departed operators arrived that they would build the crowd up again and they did. I think you'll see the crowd die down and then they'll pull in a better set of hosts to build it up again [I might check it out as I might be able to find a seat!]. If they aren't careful, good operators will price accordingly or just not bother.
Rumour has it that the new operators @ Bristol Arms lost a gig at an East Sydney venue and I wouldn't mind seeing that venue back as it was a great venue in a great location.
On a happier note, I had a ball of a night at the Bridgeview Hotel and I've probably raved about this before but the pub is really well setup and has a top-notch host running it. Its one of those places where you don't feel bad if you sing like crap if you got plastered the night before lol. And, you can drag all your karaoke hating friends along with the promise of the best steak 'n mash on the North Shore. Well worth checking out as there aren't a huge number of decent options for Saturday night karaoke wise.
